Kanye took to Instagram to celebrate his latest album, Donda 2, not being eligible for the Billboard charts.
On Wednesday (March 9), Kanye shared a screenshot of a headline that reads, "'Donda 2' Is Not Eligible to chart on Billboard Since It's Exclusive to Stem Player." He captioned the post, "Big win for the kid We can no longer be counted or judged We won we won we won we won We make my own systems We set our own value aaaand yesterdays price is not todays price baaaaabeeeee!!!!!"
After facing backlash for putting Donda 2 exclusively on his stem player, Kanye defended his choice and celebrated making over $1 million in sales after 12 hours. In a post celebrating the news, Kanye wrote, "We sold 6,217 units sense 2200-HOURS 2 17 22 which grossed $1,358,597.69. That's faster than I’ve ever sold any T shirt. God has a plan. New frontier. Everyone that is supporting our revolution is changing the game for all artist. We no longer have to bow to people who don’t even truly care about music. I feel like I’m back at SOB’s performing Jesus Walks."
