WWE chairman Vince McMahon recently revealed that rival wrestling promoters discussed putting a hit out on him, actively putting his life in danger.

While on the Pat McAfee Show, McMahon said the news was broken to him by WWE commentator Jim Ross, who claims he heard a conversation about the threat in a public bathroom. McMahon had reportedly stepped into rival promoters’ territory after turning the WWE into a traveling promotion, following his purchase of the company from his father.

McMahon says JR was sitting in a stall when he overheard 4 of the biggest wrestling promoters at the time saying they had a person who could “off” the WWE mogul. McMahon went on to say, “I don't know how many different rivers I was supposed to be at the bottom of. Death threats are what they are. I always felt like, if you can knock off a President of the United States, then I'm easy to get to."

The WWE chairman continued saying, “In those days it was like when you ... from their standpoint invaded their territory, it was like 'ok those not just fighting words.’” McMahon also revealed that JR told him about the possible hit five years after it went down. Watch above.
