Gucci Mane responded to NBA YoungBoy's "I Hate NBA YoungBoy" diss with his own track, "Publicity Stunt," which he dropped on Friday (March 4).

Gucci sent subliminals in the song, with lines like, "He tryna pull a publicity stunt/These rappers be pussy, they bleed once a month/Don’t speak on my name, don’t get put in a blunt/You can diss all you want, still won’t get a response." Gucci also rapped, "Why you diss me for publicity nigga?/Is you in the streets or a industry n-gga?/Is you my fan or my enemy, n-gga?/My money too grown to be kiddin’ with n-ggas."

However, Gucci made it clear he was addressing NBA YoungBoy with the line, "I thought you felt like Gucci Mane in 2006/Well, damn!" The line references YoungBoy's "Makes No Sense" track from 2019, where he states, "I feel like I’m Gucci Mane in 2006."

Gucci's 1017 artist Big Scarr weighed in on the situation via Instagram Live, where he stated that he feels however Gucci does when it comes to these types of situations. Big Scarr also added that he thinks YoungBoy's music is "hard," and that he's his own person at the end of the day.
