The assault with a deadly weapon case involving Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion has seen many plots twists and turns. According to prosecutors, Tory Lanez allegedly shot Meg Thee Stallion in the foot while the two of them were riding in an SUV through the Hollywood Hills.

Yesterday, the former lovers took verbal shots at each other on social media. Meg Thee Stallion attempted to foreshadow the doom and gloom that awaits Tory after his upcoming court date this April with a screenshot of what she alleged was an apology for shooting her. In response, her Canadian counterpart jokingly tweeted he was simply apologizing for sleeping with her best friend behind her back.

At some point during this verbal spat, DJ Akademiks chimed in with breaking news on Twitter stating, "Tory Lanez DNA WAS NOT found on the weapon in the Meg Thee Stallion case."

To that Meg Thee Stallion slammed the on-air personality in a series of Instagram Story posts.

"Y'all got breaking news 15 minutes before court started and nobody has even been called in yet??" Megan wrote. "Y'all tryna win a social media campaign this is MY REAL LIFE! Y'all tryna get retweets SPREADING FALSE NARRATIVES! Why are you lying? What did you gain?"

Not one to take the high road, DJ Akademiks clapped back at the Grammy Award-winning rapper while he was a guest on the Higher Learning podcast with Van Lathan and Rachel Lindsay.

"I get it... she's the victim in the [Tory Lanez] case, so she definitely has a very close personal tie to it," Akademiks said. "But, the way she attacked me is like I said she's a liar. You get what I mean?"

He continued, "She jumped on camera and made a very serious accusation to me. I know it's not violence. But, just like she was able to blame Tory with allegedly her back turned of shooting her... You're going to throw my brand in front of 20 million Instagram followers saying that I'm a pawn working for Tory to cook up stories against you?"
