Update 02/23/2022 6:25pm:

Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion kept social media platforms and users busy on Wednesday by posting a series of accusations directed towards one another. The tense exchange between the two stemmed from their upcoming trial, where Lanez is accused of shooting the Good News rapper.

After being labeled a liar, Meg Thee Stallion posted a screenshot of alleged text messages from Tory Lanez apologizing to her. While Meg claimed the apology was for shooting her, Lanez claimed he was apologizing for sleeping with her best friend while he was still involved with her.

Megan Thee Stallion's current boyfriend and rapper, Pardison Fontaine, intervened and challenged Lanez to "link" with him by tweeting, "@torylanez put the phone dwn let's link..you n me..ain't nothin to talk about."

Tory Lanez responded to Fontaine's request and wrote, "@pardi we've had this encounter...u did nothing put ya phone down big fella."

Tory Lanez has been trolling those who have been waiting for his downfall ever since allegations were made that he shot Megan Thee Stallion. But five months after the incident, when a Los Angeles County judge ruled to uphold his assault charges against the 27-year-old, it became quite apparent he could no longer take a light-hearted approach to the ordeal.

Tory Lanez is in hot water and today Megan Thee Stallion turned up the temperature by posting screenshots on social media of an apologetic text message that she received from the Canadian rapper/singer.

"Lie yo way out of this … if you ain't do s*** what you was apologizing for?" Megan Thee Stallion wrote in her caption to the post. "THEY GOT YOU RECORDED ON THE JAIL PHONE TALKING TO KELSEY APOLOGIZING BEGGING US NOT TO TALK."

In response, Tory Lanez took to Twitter to deflect the verbal attack from his former flame by attributing his apologetic tone to infidelity rather than assault. Lanez claimed his apology was for sleeping with Meg's friend, Kelsey, and not for the alleged shooting

"Good D**k had me f***ing 2 best friends .... and I got caught," Tory Lanez tweeted. "[That's] what I apologized 4....it's sick how u Spun it tho."

Tory was originally scheduled to appear in court Wednesday for shooting Meg Thee Stallion in the foot back in 2020, but the date has since been pushed back to this April.
