Friends and family gathered to say goodbye to rapper Drakeo The Ruler on Tuesday (February 15), nearly two months after he was tragically killed backstage at the Once Upon a Time in L.A. festival on December 18.
The funeral was held at Greater Emmanuel Temple Church in Lynwood, near where Drakeo grew up in South Los Angeles. The funeral was an open casket, with Drakeo's body lying in a $36,000 platinum coffin, which was surrounded by flowers spelling out his name and photos of him. Follwoing the service, Drakeo's coffin was carried out by his Stinc Team before being driven to Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills.
Video of Drakeo's mother, Darrylene Corniel, speaking to family and friends surfaced online, and she could be heard speaking about Drakeo's close friends feeling more like her sons. You can view more footage from the funeral above.
