Earlier this month, Meek Mill spoke on Atlantic Records allegedly cutting him out of the Roddy Ricch deal that found the California rapper signing to the label. Meek went on to say, “So look I made Atlantic records 100’s of millions and let them rape me out [of] Roddy an artist they came to me about in jail.” Now, Roddy Ricch has cleared up the comments made by the Philadelphia rapper.
While speaking to DJ Akademiks on ‘Off The Record,’ Roddy went on to say he hit up Meek as soon as he made the claim. “I called Meek as soon as that happened. Facetime. Got his number. Facetimed him, 'What's goin' on, bro.' He gave me the whole run down,” said Roddy. The rapper continued saying, “My situation with Atlantic was already solidified due to Nipsey Hussle walking me into the building. You know what I'm saying? He gave us that big brother love, that big brother hug, and never wanted nothing from us.”
Roddy noted that he was rocking with Meek and Nipsey at the same time, but it was Nipsey who he was dealing with first and foremost. The rapper said, “All Money In, I was really supposed to All Money In. I can show you picture while I had the Dreamchaser chain and the All Money In chain on at the same time. While he working on Victory Lap, at the studio in Burbank, I'm f**kin' with him. Pullin' up.”
Along with that, Roddy said, “Before the Meek situation, Nipsey took me to Powerhouse, had me performing in front of people who didn’t know nothing I put out. This was before 'Die Young.’” Watch above.
