According to her representative, Tisha Campbell filed a police report in the alleged sex trafficking scare she took to social media to speak on. The alleged incident went down in Brownsville, Texas, and Campbell revealed on social media that she “almost got snatched up” by people she thought were traffickers.

The Brownsville PD responded to Campbell’s social media claims, saying, “Through numerous interviews and reviews of security camera footage, we could not validate Ms. Campbell’s stay in Brownsville hotels nor any other claims made in the video.” It was noted while working on an independent film, Campbell was reportedly staying on South Padre Island, which is 30 minutes east of Brownsville. As of now, the South Padre Island police have yet to respond.

Tisha Campbell previously took to social media to reveal that she was allegedly almost taken by sex traffickers. The actor described the ordeal in detail and noted she got away after her intuition kicked in. Since then, the police department in the city she was in, Brownsville, Texas, has responded to Campbell.

Via Facebook, the Brownsville Police Department went on to say, “The Brownsville Police Department is committed to providing proactive, professional, and effective public safety. Regrettably, our department became aware of Ms. Campbell’s ordeal via social media and not through traditional reporting means as would be expected from a victim of an attempted heinous crime.”

The post then spoke on the validity of Campbell’s claims, saying, “Upon reviewing facts presented by  Ms. Campbell in her video, BPD Investigators quickly launched an investigation as such cases are not the norm in our city. Through numerous interviews and reviews of security camera footage, we could not validate Ms. Campbell’s stay in Brownsville hotels nor any other claims made in the video.” Brownsville PD then said they take human trafficking seriously and offered a chance for Campbell to reach out so they could investigate the situation. Tisha Campbell recently took to Instagram to share a story where she claims she was almost taken by sex traffickers.

Campbell took to Instagram to speak about what happened while in Brownsville, Texas, working on an independent film. The actor went on to say she was given a number to call for a taxi because there were no Ubers available in the area. However, when the cab got there, a man reportedly hopped out of the backseat and screamed at her to get in, which is how she figured things weren’t as they seemed.

Campbell told the driver “no” before eventually telling him to “f**k off” before telling the hotel where she was staying what happened. “They got me f**ked up, I ain’t Gina b**ch!” said Campbell. Take a look above.
