According to reports, the directors of the upcoming Netflix documentary Jeen-Yuhs about the life of Kanye West have made it explicitly clear that they will not give Ye the final edit over the film.
Kanye recently took to social media demanding that he get final edit powers over the documentary. Back on Jan 21, Ye wrote on IG "I must get final edit and approval on this doc before it releases on Netflix. Open the edit room immediately so I can be in charge of my own image. Thank you in advance."
However, directors Coodie and Chike weren't moved by this. "Me and Chike have a company called Creative Control," Coodie explained, "because you don't want to lose your creative control."
Coodie detailed running into Ye and having a quick conversation about the issue. "I asked him, 'Did he watch the film?' And he said, 'I have a process,'" Coodie recalled, laughing. "I said, 'That's great that you got your process.' And we just talked as brothers from that point."
He concluded by saying that "God has the final cut."
