The last 12 months have been quite polarizing for EST Gee. He had a breakout year in 2021 with collaborative efforts like "5500 Degrees" with Lil Baby. The Lousiville native made headlines again when ten of his closest associates were arrested during a gang bust in his hometown back in October. This time around the controversial rapper is making waves for what he did not do.
Instead of cashing in on a $50,000 payday to perform with frequent collaborator 42 Dugg, he declined to even enter the venue because security wanted to conduct a body search.
In the video clip above, EST Gee is seen going back and forth with a security guard over his refusal to get searched. After stating that he "don't ever get searched," a caption appears on the screen that reads, "Get searched? Or lose $50K for the show?"
