Fashion Nova has been gaining ground with their clothing over the past few years, with celebrities like Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion sporting their designs. Now, it appears the brand is facing some issues, as they reportedly have to pay millions of dollars based on allegations made by the Federal Trade Commission.

According to reports, the FTC claims that Fashion Nova has been deleting negative feedback given by customers. The FTC went on to say Fashion Nova worked with a third-party online product review management company in order to stop customer review ratings that were below four out of five stars. The director of the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection—Samuel Levine, went on to say, “Deceptive review practices cheat consumers, undercut honest businesses, and pollute online commerce. Fashion Nova is being held accountable for these practices, and other firms should take note.”

The FTC alleges that Fashion Nova did the deed from 2015 through November 2019, and Fashion Nova has denied the claims since then. A spokesperson for the brand went on to say, “The Federal Trade Commission’s allegations against Fashion Nova are inaccurate and deceptive. Fashion Nova never suppressed any website reviews, and it immediately and voluntarily addressed the website review issues when it became aware of them in 2019.” Stay tuned for more updates.
