Moneybagg Yo declared that he made the "national Lean anthem" with his hit song "Wockesha," he reflected on Twitter about quitting Lean.

On Tuesday (January 4), he wrote, "I use to think being sober would fuck wit my creative process, I see dats just a mind thing cuz I been more active skin glowing and I been dropping nun but pressure #NomoWockesha."

Last January, Moneybagg Yo opened up to Genius about the process of quitting Lean, and he explained, "It’s a process, it's hard. First, you’re going to slow down, you’re going to yield a little bit. Then eventually, you’re just going to stop, you’re just going to hit the brakes and you ain't going to even be going that way no more. You know what I'm saying? But I'm in the process of just stopping. I'm going to say that. I want to be 1,000 with you, 1K."
