Michael Blackson took to Twitter to defend Ice Cube after he addressed Faizon Love saying he was paid $2,500 for his role as Big Worm on Friday. Ice Cube explained that Faizon was paid the film industry's pay scale for one day of working on the movie, and he added that all of the actors in the movie could've declined but they didn't.
Michael Blackson, who made an appearance in Next Friday, defended Ice Cube on Wednesday (December 29), writing, "@icecube is not to blamed for us getting paid so little it’s the film industry’s pay scale. I got paid $800 a day when I did Next Friday plus overtime I made $1200 for my one day’s work of “I can’t get giggy with this shit”Thanks to next Friday I became the biggest African comic."
Blackson then joked, "When I film my movie I’m paying new actors in food and coochie, that’s my minimum wage modasucka."
