Last June, a 19-year old named Nyla Murrell-French stabbed a female contemporary in the neck, following an altercation that involved her friends at a gas station in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Although her 17-year-old victim did not die from the pierced jugular and collapsed lung that she sustained, it was enough to land Nyla Murrell-French a seven-year sentence in prison.

This was not the first time, that Nyla Murrell-French was punished for a crime. The teenager has committed a litany of criminal acts that have practically made her a fixture within the local juvenile criminal justice system.

But now, it appears as though the teenager has become an even bigger celebrity, online. She recently posted a few photos of herself, in all gray attire, from prison on Facebook.

Within a matter of days, her pictures went viral, earning her the new online distinction #PrisonBae. So much so that several men have gone on record to ask Nyla if they could send her money, pay her bail outright, or break her out.

Stay tuned for more on this developing story.
