Roc Nation artist Maeta's latest endeavor nearly came to an abrupt end when she was bitten on the face by a snake.

The R&B singer was using a live snake as a prop for a music video shoot when the carnivorous reptile slithered upwards towards her face and took a quick bite. All of the footage was captured on film and, afterward, the newest signee from Roc Nation took to Instagram to make light of the situation.

"What I go through to make videos for ya'll," Maeta wrote in her caption.

The 20-year-old songstress rose to prominence as an independent musician before delivering her first EP, Habits, with Roc Nation back in May. There is still no word on whether or not the video shoot that she sustained a snake bite from was intended to support an upcoming album release or her current EP.
