The storied history between Freddie Gibbs and DJ Akademiks has been well documented. Their disdain for one another reached new heights back in November when the two men exchanged barbs on social media. This prompted DJ Akademiks to address Freddie Gibbs on Twitch, saying, "You can't beef with no rapper! You don't want sauce with no rapper!"

So, one month later, when news broke that the aforementioned Grammy-nominated rapper had been involved in a scuffle with Jim Jones at a nightclub in Miami, DJ Akademiks followed suit with a series of celebratory posts to taunt his rival and live commentary on Twitch. The New Jersey native proceeded to call Freddie Gibbs an "internet gangster" and a "victim" who allegedly got beaten up.

"I ain't 'gon lie to you, Jim Jones rolls with some real n*****," Akademiks said. "They shot at that n**** years ago, they beat him up this time. Bro, Fredrick is a f****** victim. How the f*** y'all got him talking crazy like he 'gon scare me? He's just like me, a Twitter n****!"

Stayed tuned for more news on the fallout between the two rappers and the involvement of DJ Akademiks.

Update 12/15/2021 11:03am:

Amid VladTV breaking the news that Freddie Gibbs and Jim Jones got into an altercation at Miami's Prime 112, footage from inside the restaurant has surfaced online. The footage shows people in the background at the restaurant, although it's hard to make out if this was before or after the fight.

Neither Freddie or Jim have addressed the situation publicly, as their long history of beef is being laid out on social media. The two have been going back-and-forth since around 2013, when Freddie dropped the "Freddie Soprano" track on his debut studio album. The track featured a diss at Jones, who Freddie has called a "wanna be Blood" in the past.

Update 12/15/2021 9:35am:

Following the news of an altercation between Jim Jones and Freddie Gibbs at Miami's Prime 112, Gibb's diss aimed at Jones on his 2013 track "Freddie Soprano" has resurfaced.

The track is featured on Gibbs' 2013 debut studio album ESGN (Evil Seeds Grow Naturally), and features the line, "Working that scale through the day and the night/This V and this L that I throw up don’t stand for 'Vampire Life'/So sorry Mr. Jones, twisting your fingers can get you gone/Shout out to the Lords, shout to the Folks, word to the Stones/B*tch I'm from where n***as don't survive."

A year after dropping the song, Gibbs continued to go at Jim, including being asked on Twitter if a 2014 shooting after his show in New York, where two members of his team were non-critically injured, was caused by his feud with Jones. Gibbs responded, writing, "Na I doubt it he too p***y."

Neither Gibbs or Jones have responded to reports of their fight at the time of publication.

Original 12/14/2021 11:20pm:

According to witnesses, a fight between Jim Jones's crew broke out with Freddie Gibbs's crew at the swanky restaurant Prime 112 in Miami.  Apparently, the two sides bumped into one another while Jim Jones and his crew were leaving and Freddie Gibbs and his team were walking in.

Jim initially approached Freddie over some negative things that Gibbs had said about Jim in the past.  While Jim was arguing with Freddie, someone from Jim's crew punched Gibbs in the face.  Freddie was then attacked personally by Jim.  Freddie's large bodyguard was also hit and then kicked in the face while he was down.
