Megan Thee Stallion achieved her goal of graduating from college, and now the rising star has reached another milestone in her home state of Texas.

Recently, it was revealed that Megan was honored with the 18th Congressional District Humanitarian Award this past Sunday in Houston. The rapper was given the award by congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, who called out the great things Megan has done for her community.

Megan gave a speech after being presented with the award, saying, “I'm so honored. It's my responsibility to take care of the city that took care of me. My grandma always taught me to be kind and giving. I learned that from her.” She continued saying, “I was raised by very giving women," she said.
