The benefit concert for Larry Hoover featuring Kanye West and Drake recently went off without a hitch, and fans along with concertgoers seemed to be pleased by the displays from both artists. However, a law enforcement source linked to Larry Hoover’s case is claiming prosecutors are “surprised” by Kanye and Drake putting so much energy and support behind Hoover.
The source said the feds think that Hoover belongs in the federal Supermax prison he’s currently serving six life sentences in. Supporters of Hoover feel the government issued a massive over-sentence, especially considering the fact that Hoover’s crimes were drug-related and not related to murder. The feds reportedly said that Drake and Kanye West would be better off helping other people currently incarcerated besides Larry Hoover.
