Fat Trel was arrested Wednesday, nearly two months after spending the past five years in-and-out of jail for various offenses.
In October 2021, the DMV rapper was released from jail after dealing with a combination of charges. In 2016, Fat Trel was arrested and charged for trying to exchange counterfeit money for chips at a Maryland casino. Less than a month later, he was arrested and charged again with driving while intoxicated, narcotics distribution, speeding, and other charges.
Fat Trel spent over a year in jail before getting released in September 2017. However, the rapper was locked up again over alleged drug charges. In 2020, while still in jail, Fat Trel pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a ghost gun and faced a maximum 10-year sentence.
Fat Trel's latest arrest is related to a suspended sentence and probation. A representative for the rapper explained the latest charges and claimed the suspended sentence is over 2015 DUI and said Trel would be released within a few days.
"TREL good y'all," the statement read. "He had to Turn His self in for a DUI from 2015 .. he going to be back out in a couple days.. This ain't nothing major."
