Sony announced on Sunday that one of its senior vice presidents for PlayStation Network was fired after he was allegedly caught in a pedophile sting.

On Dec. 3, George Cacioppo was exposed in a video posted by the YouTube page, People v. Preds. The PlayStation executive was allegedly caught trying to meet with a 15-year-old boy that he met on the Grindr app.

In the video, the cameraman confronts Cacioppo at what appears to be his home. The cameraman tries getting Cacioppo to admit he was trying to meet an underaged boy while referring to him as "Jeff," the name he used on the dating app. After the video began circulating across the internet, Sony announced that Cacioppo had been let go.

"We are aware of the situation and the employee in question has been terminated from employment," the company announced in an emailed statement.

People v. Preds confirmed that information was sent to the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office. A spokesman for the San Diego Police Department also confirmed that there is an active investigation being led by the San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
