The Canadian Football League nearly had a "Malice at the Palace" moment Sunday after multiple football players stormed the stands to confront fans.

Following the Toronto Argonauts' playoff loss to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, a number of Argo players leaped into the stands and were filmed into a physical altercation with fans. Witnesses claim the players came into the stands after fans spilled beer on them.

The above footage shows one fan dressed in Tiger-Cats apparel aggressively approaching defensive back Chris Edwards, who threw a punch in response. Edwards is seen retreating while wide receiver Dejon Brisset separates the fan before security gets involved.

After security apprehended the fan, the Toronto team was able to return to their locker room. The police are currently investigating the incident in addition to the CFL.
