The man known as "QAnon Shaman" was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison Wednesday for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol building.

Jacob Chansley's sentence came after the 34-year-old pleaded guilty to one count of obstruction. The Phoenix native became one of the most notable people from the Jan. 6 attack after photos showed him in a coyote-fur headdress and American-flag face paint. Photos of him shirtless, holding a spear, and sitting in the Senate president's chair were also widely circulated following the incident.

The former actor and Navy veteran, who goes by Jake Angeli, was charged with civil disorder, violent entry, and disorderly conduct after the Capitol riot. After entering his guilty plea, prosecutors asked that he receive a 51-month sentence -- the longest-requested sentence linked to the riot. He was originally facing up to 28 years in prison.

Jacob Chansley has since denounced former President Donald Trump and will be placed on probation for three years after his release.
