The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has charged DaniLeigh (real name Danielle Curiel) with two counts of simple assault stemming from her public altercation with DaBaby this past weekend.
Responding officers claimed they visited DaBaby's residence Sunday night after the rapper went on Instagram Live, showing DaniLeigh as she was feeding their three-month-old child. Despite DaBaby claiming DaniLeigh struck him, police left without making an arrest.
However, the police were called back to the residence Monday morning after DaBaby made another domestic abuse claim. After the second visit, law enforcement had enough evidence to charge DaniLeigh with the two misdemeanors.
In addition to the recent charges, DaniLeigh's family reacted to the public drama and responded to DaBaby's claim that they "disowned" his infant child. DaniLeigh's sister took to Instagram to deny the claim, stating she was present through her sister's pregnancy and helped organize the baby shower.
"If we're putting this all out there and on social media, I wanna start with this....I never wanted to get involved because that's not the type of person I am but you can never say we 'disowned' the baby," she wrote. "I've loved her since the day she found out she was pregnant...collecting photos, planning the baby shower (that you didn't come to), and making sure she was mentally stable without you there. I know my truth and you know yours. It's very sad that one day in the future the little baby will know this whole problem and what he did to her mother and how he humiliated her. I would never wish this situation on anyone, this is something that no one should have to go through."
Since their public fallout, DaniLeigh has revealed that she and her child have left DaBaby's residence by posting a photo of herself on an airplane.

DaBaby is continuing to go at DaniLeigh after calling the police on her during a heated argument that was streamed on Instagram Live.
There have been accusations by both DaniLeigh and DaBaby about the situation, including DaBaby claiming that he was never with the "Levi High" artist, with whom he shares a 3-month-old baby girl. DaniLeigh claimed that she had been living with DaBaby since giving birth to their daughter, adding that he became angry and asked her to leave his house when she had a morning-after pill delivered to his home. DaniLeigh's brother even interjected the back-and-forth after DaBaby mentioned DaniLeigh's family on IG Live.
Amid the viral back-and-forth, DaBaby has released another video on Monday, where he is seen holding his daughter and telling viewers not to believe what they read on the internet. He went on to address DaniLeigh's family again, as he claimed that they haven't met the baby. DaBaby also claimed that DaniLeigh's family "disowned y'all half-Black grandbaby" because they couldn't control DaniLeigh.
