Kanye West recently made an appearance on ‘Drink Champs,’ with the rapper taking a moment to speak on the incarceration of Larry Hoover. While with Hoover’s son, West said that moves were being made under the ‘First Step’ act, and along with that, he’s putting together a new legal team for Hoover.
While talking about Hoover’s situation, West said, “We’re putting together a new team for [Hoover]. It’s much like in the footsteps of my father-in-law, Robert Kardashian. We got the lawyer that just got Cosby out.”
Andrew Wyatt, a rep for Cosby, has addressed the comments made by West, saying, “[Hoover] has paid his debt to society and his story must be told in the same manner that I always reminded people of the good that Mr. Cosby brought to the world.” Wyatt continued saying Cosby would "love to sit down with Kanye.” Wyatt said Cosby admitted he has “no knowledge of Mr. Hoover” but noted the American justice system “has shown its hatred towards Black man, who are incarcerated.”
