Reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic and forward Markieff Morris were both ejected from Monday's night's game after the two became overly physical with each other. During the closing minutes of the Denver Nuggets' home game against the Miami Heat, Jokic aggressively shoved Morris from behind after Morris committed a flagrant foul against the center.

Both teams cleared their benches and the Heat's star guard, Jimmy Butler, even challenged Nuggets players to fight him backstage near the locker room area. After the game concluded, a group of Heat players reportedly waited outside the locker room to confront Nuggets players but were held back.

Following the game, Markieff's twin brother and Los Angeles Clippers forward, Marcus Morris, responded to the foul on Twitter and wrote, "Waited till bro turned his back smh. NOTED."

The tweet caused Nikola's brothers to create their own joint Twitter account, called "Jokic Brothers," and issue a response to Marcus.

"You should leave this the way it is instead of publicly threatening our brother!" the brothers wrote. "Your brother made a dirty play first. If you want to make a step further be sure we will be waiting for you!! Jokic Brothers."

As a result of Nikola's shove, the Heat announced Markieff is dealing with a neck injury and his status remains unknown. In the post-game press conference, Nikola admitted the shove was "stupid" but added that he felt the need to protect himself after Markieff's "dirty" foul. The reigning MVP is expected to be suspended for the on-court shove.
