Cardi B recently made headlines after she called out rappers for creating the same “sad songs” she constantly hears in the club. Cardi faced some backlash for her comments, while others agreed. Now, news surfaced noting that Cardi B will be hosting the American Music Awards.

AMA executive producer Jesse Collins spoke on Cardi hosting the show, saying, “We are immensely excited to have the dynamic Cardi B bring her infectious energy to the American Music Awards as a first-time host.” Cardi B spoke on her hosting duties, saying, “When I received the invite to host the AMAs, I was so excited. I’m ready to bring my personality to the AMAs stage.”

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper is set to take the stage and host the event on November 21. Cardi B previously performed at the award show in 2018, with J Balvin and Bad Bunny accompanying her to do her hit song “I Like It.”
