Young Thug is one of the most successful rappers in hip-hop today, but early in his career, Wale revealed that he could see the talent. 

While sitting down with Drink Champs, Wale revealed that he wanted to sign Young Thug, but he admits that he "couldn't afford him." Wale explained that he heard some of Young Thug's early songs and knew that he was going to be something big, and he added that he could see that Young Thug was different when they were in the studio together.
