According to reports, rapper Pooh Shiesty is expected to plead guilty as part of a plea deal in his 2020 hotel shooting case.

Pooh Shiesty's lawyer Brian Cohen confirmed the move with Rolling Stone on Thursday. “We’ve entered into plea negotiations because there have been developments in the case that I think changed the dynamics of the case.”

Per Rolling Stone:

A docket entry said Shiesty, whose legal name is Lontrell Williams, and co-defendant Bobby Brown appeared at a five-minute hearing Thursday and told U. S. District Judge K. Michael Moore that “they both wish to change their plea from not guilty to guilty.”

By initiating the change of plea process, the trial set to begin on Monday is now off the court calendar. However, a formal hearing for a change of plea has not been scheduled.
