Along with being immersed in the world of television, 50 Cent has also been involved in the world of alcohol. The rapper has a cognac brand named Branson, which has seen a rise via his constant promotion on social media. However, 50 is now claiming that direct competitor Remy Martin is on a “mission to eliminate” his company.

According to reports, Remy Martin filed a lawsuit in France against the bottler of 50’s Sire Spirits—Cognac Embouteillage. Remy Martin pointed out the design of the bottle, saying the bottle’s look is similar to theirs. However, 50 doesn’t think any of the bottle designs are similar or identical. 50’s lawyer Reena Jain spoke on the suit, saying, “No brand or company has the right to exclude others from making or selling curved bottles for cognac or other alcohol. Nonetheless, Remy Martin is on a mission to eliminate Sire Spirits from the cognac market.”

As of now, 50 Cent has asked that Remy Martin’s lawsuit against his Branson brand be dismissed with prejudice. Along with that, 50 wants the brand to pay all the legal fees he’s put up for the suit. Stay tuned for more updates.
