The situation taking place at the Rio Grande border got pretty ugly, as Haitian immigrants who were converging at a border bridge in Texas were chased by border agents on horses with whips. The disturbing imagery that was captured and went viral caused the White House to issue a statement condemning the behavior from the agents. Since then, Kamala Harris has addressed the situation, saying she was “deeply troubled” by the photos and had planned on discussing them with Homeland Security head Alejandro Mayorkas.

Many people have been paying attention to what is going on at the border and have offered their help to the Haitian migrants facing deportation by the U.S. government. One of those people lending a helping hand is Tory Lanez, who spoke about his experience at the border in Texas.

Via Twitter, Lanez shared some of his thoughts on the matter. The rapper said, “Truly heartbreaking to see all of the Haitian migrants having to live in the conditions they were in.” From there, he continued saying, “today I bought 50,000 $ worth of Essentials Products + Clothes for em! Its not a game !! 2 things they really need are TENTS and TARPS. Contact Info@uaosa.org to help now.” As of now, there are reportedly 15,000 refugees at a camp form by a bridge close to the border.
