For Generation X and Millenials, BET's "Rap City" was a daily staple for hip-hop heads. After being off the air for quite some time, the network is set to reboot the show which played a pivotal role in the culture. Not to mention, it will be hosted by the show's most popular host, Big Tigger, who took over for the original host Joe Clair in the late-90s.
Big Tigger took to Instagram on Thursday to confirm the announcement. "This is not a drill… This is not a throwback… #RapCity21!! Details soon… " as he sat in what appears to be the new Rap City set. As indicated by Big Tigger, details about the show and what the new direction will be have not yet been disclosed.
