According to reports, the NBA is closing in on its unvaccinated players after announcing they will not pay players for missed games due to their unvaccinated status.

To put it in perspective, for high-profile players like Kyrie Irving and Andrew Wiggins, that could mean a loss of nearly $15 million each if they refuse to get the shot. "Wiggins -- who is in a 5-year, $147,710,050 deal -- will reportedly pass up on $15.8 million this season ... while Irving -- 4-year, $136,490,600 contract -- will forfeit $17.5 million," writes TMZ.

While the league hasn't directly mandated the vaccine, the NBA follows local policies for its respective markets. Therefore, the Knicks, Nets, and Warriors require all residents to be vaccinated before participating in indoor activities.
