Along with being considered one of the best NBA players alive, LeBron James was once considered a football phenom, especially while in high school. Now, James has revealed that he was offered numerous NFL contracts during the NBA lockout in 2011.

While speaking to the Manning brothers—Eli and Peyton during their ‘Monday Night Football’ segment, the brothers asked James if there was any truth to the Dallas Cowboys trying to recruit him in the past. James went on to say, “That's true, Jerry Jones offered me a contract. Also, Pete Carroll did as well, in Seattle during our lockout time.”

LeBron continued saying, “It definitely got my blood flowing again. Got my mind racing again thinking about the game of football, being out there on Sundays." James noted that the situation never went down though, as the NBA worked out the lockout scenario. “We were able to get a deal done in the NBA and I was back on the court in no time, but I definitely thought about it. I still got the jerseys too, that Jerry and Pete Carroll sent me from 2011,” said James. The NBA player noted that if he was to play football, he would have been a tight end. Watch above.
