While the Brooklyn Nets figure out what to do with/about Kyrie Irving potentially missing home games due to his unvaccinated status, the league has already denied another player's request for a vaccine exemption.

Warriors' wing Andrew Wiggins had his request denied on Friday after citing religion as his reason for not taking the vaccine. "The NBA has reviewed and denied Andrew Wiggins' request for [a] religious exemption from the San Francisco Department of Public Health's order requiring COVID-19 vaccination for all participants age 12 and older at large indoor events," the league said in a statement. "Wiggins will not be able to play in Warriors home games until he fulfills the city's vaccination requirements."

The league has already said that unvaccinated players will play this season but will be subjected to extensive testing and other precautionary measures. However, the Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, and Brooklyn Nets have to face stricter regulations due to local protocol and policy.
