Reigning NBA champion and Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo said he wanted someone who would pass the ball when he drafted Kemba Walker over James Harden for the 2020 NBA All-Star Game. In a 2020 interview with Rachel Nichols, James Harden defended his style of play by insinuating "The Greek Freak" relied on his physical attributes and had "no skill at all."

"I wish I could be 7-feet, run, and just dunk. That takes no skill at all," Harden said. "I gotta actually learn how to play basketball and how to have skill. I'll take that any day."

While Harden didn't mention Giannis by name, the sports world felt it was clear the former MVP was taking a jab at the player who prevented him from winning back-to-back MVP awards. A Greek outlet recently asked Giannis about Harden's remarks and the Milwaukee Bucks forward shied away from carrying on the subtle jabs between the two superstars.

"First of all, Harden never mentioned my name," Giannis responded. "I have seen this video, about one year later. I think what he meant was that if he was also a 7-footer, jumped, and dunk, it would have been easier for him. I think that the media made it about me. Harden is a great player and when I am on the court against him I have to play real hard. He is a Hall of Famer, I have nothing against him."

According to NBA analysts and experts, Giannis' Bucks and Harden's Brooklyn Nets are expected to compete for who will represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals this upcoming season. While Giannis is looking to successfully defend his title, Harden is still searching for his first NBA title.
