According to reports, the Philadelphia 76ers are looking to get the disgruntled star, Ben Simmons, in training camp despite a summer filled with trade demands.

NBA insider Marc Stein wrote on Monday, Simmons "will choose not to report to the team's training camp" but that the Sixers "remain intent on trying to convince Simmons to report."

Simmons is looking to push himself out of Philly as soon as possible, but that doesn't mean a trade is imminent. If the Sixers pull the trigger on a deal too soon, they could accept a deal that doesn't yield as much in return for Simmons. Ultimately, Simmons is under contract with the Sixers for the next four seasons and it will take everything a team has to make a deal.

Training camp begins September 28 and ends October 3 just ahead of the start of preseason on October 4. The Sixers are hopeful Simmons will be in uniform though we could be looking at a potentially long-term holdout.
