Lil Baby went on to show off rings the jeweler gave him to make up for the now-viral flub after telling the company, “don’t f*ccin play wit me.” Now, Rafaello & Co have issued a public apology to the rapper via Instagram.

The brand said, “I should have inspected the watch after purchasing it from the dealer. I take full responsibility for not doing my job properly. I personally would NEVER knowingly sell him or anyone else -- anything that is not 100% authentic.” Rafaello & Co continued by saying “I have known @lilbaby for a while and there is nothing fake about him especially his jewelry and watches." Lil Baby's The Voice of the Heroes partner, Lil Durk, warned rappers earlier this week about jewelers selling fake watches. Unfortunately, the Atlanta rap star received the message too late after purchasing a special edition Patek Phillipe watch for $400,000.

The Quality Control artist recently showed off what was supposed to be the 40th Anniversary edition of the Patek Phillipe Nautilus and claimed he paid $400,000. FakeWatchBuster not only disputed the authenticity of the watch and pointed out all of the discrepancies, but claimed the true retail price of the watch is about $620,000.

After news started spreading about the fake watch, Lil Baby responded on his Instagram Story by requesting Patek Phillipe place him on their official list. The rapper also hinted at confronting the jeweler who sold him the watch.

"@patekphillipe see this why I need to be on the list!!" Lil Baby wrote. "After market jewelers going to make me do some I shouldn't be doing."
