According to reports, one of the four people accused of killing Pop Smoke—Corey Walker, was reportedly denied bail by a Los Angeles County judge. The attorney for Walker, Christopher Darden, asked for bail for his client, but prosecutors shut the gesture down immediately. Prosecutors filed a motion saying the alleged killer should not be eligible for bail based on California laws.

The judge on the case, Curtis Rappe, sided with prosecutors and held Walker as a result. As of now, Walker is facing life in prison without parole.

News of this comes after it was revealed that the gravesite and crypt of Pop Smoke were destroyed. Evidence from the scene suggests that the perpetrators attempted to pull the late rapper’s casket out of the tomb. Since then, the mother of the rapper has cleared up her son’s space.
