Benny the Butcher has seen his profile rise over the last year and has been connected to some of the most iconic names in hip-hop over that span of time. Benny has been teasing a collaboration with Drake for quite some time and was rumored to be on Kanye West's project. However, both Donda and Certified Lover Boy dropped without Benny appearing on either project and he recently explained why those features never materialized.

"Drake is Drake. He's the biggest artist in the world so ain't no tellin' where that song gon' land," said Benny. "We got the song, I played it for all the homies. It's a vibe and he gotta place that where he sees fit to it. I feel like it definitely would have fit in and definitely would have mixed things up, but I also see why he didn't put it on [Certified Lover Boy]."

He also spoke about never being under the impression that he would be featured on Ye's album despite his Griselda comrades Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine appearing on  "Keep My Spirit Alive."
