The response to Kanye West’s ‘DONDA’ album has been mixed, and the release comes in the middle of a brewing battle between West and Drake, who recently dropped his ‘CLB’ album. Now, many are taking the time to fully listen and digest West’s latest project, with many people calling out different lines. One of the lines that stuck out from ‘DONDA’ for rapper Freddie Gibbs found him speaking West’s claim via Twitter.
Freddie Gibbs has never been one to shy away from any artist or their past, and now one of West’s bars related to gang culture in the Chicago area has found him laughing. On the song “Life of The Party,” featuring Andre 3000, which was reportedly leaked by Drake, West rapped, “Thought we was the new Abu Dhabi / Told Drake don't play with me, on GD /And he sent that message to everybody/ So if I hit you with a “W-Y-D” / You better hit me with, “Yes sir, I'm writing everything you need."
Since then, Gibbs has responded to the line by initially saying, “They done let the GD’s in the doe 😂.” From there, a fan responded to Gibbs’ tweet by saying, “Kanye being GD would be the best thing to happen this year.” Gibbs responded by laughing and saying, “GD Jakes 😂.” Take a look above.
