Update 08/31/2021 12:55pm:
Previously, Shyne—the storied MC who transitioned into a diplomat following a stint in prison, made his return to the United States recently. Shyne was seen at Fat Joe’s birthday party and even reconnected with Jay-Z and many others. Now, it has been noted that Shyne has made his way back to his home in Belize after appearing in the U.S. for the first time in over ten years.
The diplomat hit Instagram with a message related to his return to Belize as well as his time in the United States. Shyne said, “Thanks to all the U.S. Officials, Investors, friends/family from the Entertainment business, and the Belizeans in the diaspora who received me so warmly. Thanks to all the supporters in the U.S., around the world and home here in Belize who have been wishing me well."
The message, which Diddy, Fat Joe, and more showed love to, found him saying, “Your prayers and positive energy has helped to make my U.S. Offcial Mission a success. Please keep me in prayer, as I plan to work with both my UDP Opposition & the PUP Administration to follow through on all my official engagements to bring about meaningful results for the benefit of the Belizean People." Take a look at the message above.

Shyne recently opened up to HipHopDX about mending his relationship with Diddy after he was sentenced to 10 years for his role in a shooting at an NYC club in 1999 while there with Diddy and Jennifer Lopez. Diddy was later acquitted on all charges, while Shyne served his sentence and was later deported to his native Belize following his release.
Shyne now explained how he's been able to move on from the incident, as he's now a member of the House of Representatives in Belize, and he recently came to the U.S. to work on strengthening relationships between the U.S. and Belize.
When it comes to Diddy, Shyne explained, "I think all families that I know on planet Earth have disputes and difficulties, and that’s part of a family. And I think you have to have perspective, and you have to have a vision and a focus as to where you’re going. I try not to focus on people and I try to focus on myself. Once I heal and once I get clarity as to my purpose and my mission, then taking the baggage of yesterday with me is not practical. You can’t move forward taking things from 23 years ago with you."
He added, "I can’t plan and succeed in building my life for the next 23 years if I’m taking all the things that are holding me back, that are stagnating me, that are weighing me down. If I try to take those things with me, I won’t progress."
Shyne went on to state that it took some internal work on his part to become a healthier person and move past his issues with Diddy. He explained that in order to help people in his country, he couldn't hold on to grudges or feelings from the past.
Shyne explained, "And I just think Diddy and I, we were always close. And that’s why it was so devastating and emotions were where they were. If it was just business, then you wouldn’t care and you’d just take it for what it was. So as I said, your family, you disagree, you might not speak for years, but you always love your family. So once you get to a place of forgiveness and a place of healing, then you can move on to where you need to go. Then you and your family can reconnect."
