Update 08/23/2021 10:49am:

According to reports, rapper Jackboy has been cleared in a gun possession case. The rapper was previously arrested during a traffic stop for gun possession and has proclaimed his innocence the entire time.

Monroe County D.A. Jonathan Adams spoke on the matter, saying the D.A.’s office didn’t move forward with the charges “due to our concerns regarding being able to prove [Jackboy] had actual knowledge of the location of the firearms.”

Adams then referred to the same issue police pointed out in their report, saying a passenger in the backseat of the car claimed to be responsible for the guns found in the glove compartment of the car.

The rapper’s attorney Drew Findling spoke on the matter, saying, “We told you early this year that Pierre Delince (Jackboy) was innocent of these charges. We are very much appreciative of them making that important decision."

In January, Jackboy revealed that he crashed his Lambo and showed the crash's aftermath via IG. Now, Jackboy is back in the news again, this time due to being pulled over by police, who say the rapper couldn’t stay in his own lane while driving. However, the situation didn’t end well for him, as he ended up being arrested on a gun possession charge.

Reports noted that cops in Monroe County pulled Jackboy over last month after cops saw the rapper couldn’t stay in his own lane while driving his blue Lamborghini. When cops got close to the vehicle during the stop, they smelled weed, which led the cops to call for backup so that a search could be conducted.

From there, police say they found 2 unregistered guns in the glove box where the rapper was sitting. Jackboy claimed he didn’t know guns were in the whip, but that still presented an issue for him because he is a convicted felon and isn’t allowed to be within arms reach of a firearm. Jackboy was arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and was released on a $2,500 bond. Stay tuned for more details.
