Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty are being sued by Petty's rape victim from his 1995 conviction. The accuser, Jennifer Hough, claims she's been repeatedly bribed, harassed, and threatened by the couple since they began dating in 2018.

Petty was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in April 1995, at the age of 16, after he was accused of using a sharp object to coerce Hough into a sexual encounter in September 1994 at his home. As a result of his conviction, Petty served nearly four years in prison.

Following Petty's 2020 arrest for failing to register as a sex offender, Nicki Minaj allegedly offered to fly Hough and her whole family to Los Angeles in exchange for her recanting her rape allegations. When Hough declined, she claimed she received "unsolicited visits" and phone calls.

Hough claims Nicki Minaj has downplayed her husband's rape conviction and has said he was wrongfully accused. She also accused the rapper of offering Hough's brother $500,000 if she took back her statements about Petty being a rapist. Feeling like her life was in danger, Hough eventually moved in August 2020 after lawyers showed up at her house and attempted to bribe her with $20,000.

Jennifer Hough is suing Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty for intentional infliction of emotional distress, harassment, and witness intimidation. She's also suing Petty for the 1994 sexual assault.
