Lil Durk announced on Twitter Thursday that he's no longer going to record or perform songs where he mentions the dead.

Following the deaths of King Von and Lil Durk's brother, DThang, the Chicago rapper was urged by peers and the public to stop dissing deceased rivals on songs, believing the records cause deadly feuds to escalate even further.

Lil Durk seems to have been influenced by the demands and his recent losses as he declared he would discontinue the trend that's been adopted by other rappers.

"I'm not mentioning the dead in my songs no more or performing songs with they name in it," Lil Durk wrote on Twitter.
