Showtime released the trailer for the new Rick James documentary, Bitchin’: the Sound and Fury of Rick James, which will premiere on September 3.
The 2-minute clip highlighted the rise of James' career, along with the lows, including the "Super Freak" artist serving three years in prison from 1993-1996. Ice Cube and Bootsy Collins were seen speaking about James, who died in 2004 of cardiac failure, and the greatness that he brought to the music world.
The trailer ends with James at an awards show spouting the tagline made famous by comedian Dave Chappelle, "I'm Rick James B---h!"
