According to reports, two teen girls discovered the corpse of a 25-year-old man in a ditch and decided to steal his jewelry before posting a video of the act on Snapchat.
The identity of the 16-year-old has not been disclosed, however, police identified the older teen as Bethany Martin.
Authorities have ruled out foul play and believe the 25-year-old committed suicide via hanging near the drainage ditch where his body was discovered.
In the video posted to Snapchat, Martin is seen removing the gold necklace from the man and reportedly did so because the chain "matched her fashion style." The girls admitted to stealing only the pendant on the man's necklace and later returned it.
The girls face felony charges of theft from a human corpse.
