DaBaby has been mired in controversy since his homophobic rant at Rolling Loud. His responses following the rant haven't garnered him much favor since then either.
Some of the fallout has included fellow artists such as Dua Lipa calling him out while also losing endorsement deals with clothing brands. This has prompted DaBaby to respond to this most recent wave of criticism in his new video for "Giving What It's Supposed To Give."
In response to the criticism, DaBaby ended the video with the message, “Don’t fight hate with hate. My apologies for being me the same way you want the freedom to be you,” stylized in rainbow colors signifying the LGBTQ+ community.
