Actor Isaiah Stokes was recently charged with second-degree murder in a shooting incident that went down this past February, resulting in the death of a New York man. The 41-year-old was also charged with two counts of second-degree criminal weapon possession.

Stokes was indicted for the murder by a Queens grand jury this past Friday. Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz issued a statement on Stokes via a press release, saying: “The defendant is accused of unloading nearly eleven shots during this brazen afternoon shooting. Gun violence is all too prevalent in our neighborhoods.  We will not allow it to become the norm."

The DA went on to say there is surveillance footage of the alleged shooting from February 2021, which they referred to as a “brazen afternoon shooting.” The actor allegedly fired 11 shots into a driver’s side window of a parked white Jeep Grand Cherokee. The shots killed 37-year-old Tyrone Jones, who died from the shooting injuries.

Stokes has appeared in shows like ‘Power,’ ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,’ and ‘Blue Bloods.’ The actor is set to appear in court again on July 19. He is reportedly facing 25 years to life in prison for the shooting.
