Recently, news surfaced that rapper 9lokknine was arrested on RICO charges. From there, it was revealed the rapper was charged along with almost three dozen other people for charges. Now, it has been revealed that the rapper was caught up due to a wiretap by the feds on Instagram.

The rapper, whose real name is Jacquavius Smith, pleaded guilty to aggravated identity theft after he illegally got a $10,000 PPP loan. In the plea agreement for the rapper, it was noted he used someone else’s identity—their name, social security number, and address to apply for the PPP loan and start a bank account this past March. The money he got reportedly hit the bank account he opened on April 16. From there, feds reportedly got a wiretap on his Instagram, which showed 9lokknine sending images of the loan application to friends of his by way of DM.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office got the wiretap, and they also noted that Smith was caught with a weapon during a raid that went down recently. The rapper already had a felony from when he was 16 that prevented him from having any type of firearm. As of now, 9lokknine is set to be sentenced on October 6, 2021. Stay tuned for more updates.
