The wife of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins is facing a combination of charges stemming from an alleged altercation in Las Vegas during the 4th of July weekend.
On July 3, Kalabrya Gondrezick-Haskins reportedly punched the former first-round draft pick in the mouth during their stay at The Cosmopolitan. The assault left Dwayne with a missing tooth and additional injuries that were "substantial in nature."
The 24-year-old football player was hospitalized as a result of the assault. Dwayne's upper lip was also split and had to receive dental work to repair his teeth and other injuries to his mouth.
According to reports, Kalabrya told police that the couple was in Las Vegas to renew their vows and celebrate with friends despite marrying in March. During the evening, the pair got into an argument which resulted in her striking Dwayne.
Dwayne recalled getting into a fight with his wife but didn't remember getting punched in the mouth. However, police found blood and a piece of a tooth once they searched the couple's room.
Kalabrya faces a felony charge of battery and domestic violence resulting in bodily harm. She has posted bail and is due in court August 3. The Steelers have offered no comment on the alleged altercation.
